Thermal Imaging detects new pyramids 05 January 2006
A fourth Pyramid, named the ‘Bosnian Pyramid of the Dragon’ (Piramida Bosanskog Zmaja ),is detected by satellite.
The Terra satellite, which has been orbiting Earth since
1999 as a joint project between US Nasa and the Japanese
Government, has been revealing further evidence of
pyramids in what is now referred to as
Bosnia’s Valley of Pyramids, near Visoko. (see image)
Archaeological Park: Bosnia Pyramid of the Sun
(the official Foundation for the archaeological site) analysed the data from the satellite thermal imaging and concluded that all four hills present anomalies inconsistent with natural landscapes. The satellite imaging shows that these particular hills cool off more quickly than others in the area. This is indicative of colossal structures beneath the surface of the hills, created from dense materials which absorb less heat. The loss of heat also suggests that the hills contain hollow areas. The results of the thermal imaging of the site indicate the possibility of a third and fourth pyramid in the valley, already named Pyramid of the Earth and the Bosnian Pyramid of the Dragon. If this is confirmed, it would make it the valley the largest, and arguably the most important, archaeological site in Europe.Semir Osmanagic, chairman of the Foundation Archeological Park: Bosnia Pyramid of the Sun, said that the foundation will ensure that the work on the site, due to begin in April, will continue until at least November 2006. The teams working on the site will include Bosnian geologists, archaeologists and geophysicists, as well as international experts. The Foundation is keen attract international verification of its work and is creating an international advisory team, which will include internationally-recognised archaeologists, historians and anthropologists.
